Kanagawa Life Innovation Center Started Operation as a Global Strategic Base for Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy

After the enforcement of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Law and the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, new regenerative medicine products are being given approvals in Japan. This creates a positive cycle where the national government’s efforts to lead industrialization of regenerative medicine and cell therapy are well followed by private industries.

We see now the road map for Japan to lead the world in the field of regenerative medicine when the national and local governments, industries and other sectors collaborate and make full use of their resources. This discussion will address the activities of Kanagawa Life Innovation Center , as well as visions and strategies of related institutions, and explore how they can successfully collaborate to accelerate practical application and industrialization of regenerative medicine and cell therapy.
